In today’s volunteer in Africa blog – Why we target women particularly mothers

Volunteer in Africa opportunities provided by our charity target mainly children and women in Africa. Our volunteer work in Africa is designed to impact the lives of women, especially mothers who have become vulnerable to the harsh economic conditions and biased cultural practices. Volunteering in Africa with us provide you an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of mothers who live in very poor villages with no access to healthcare and struggling to find food for their children daily.

Our volunteers in Africa work daily to improve the conditions of mothers providing skills training for them to make income, supporting the children in education so they can get good jobs in the near future and in turn alleviate the suffering of their mothers, provide free healthcare through our volunteer in Africa mobile medical missions program. Other support we provide beside volunteering in Africa programs include scholarships for the children, providing free summer classes to boost the places where they lack the facilities and teachers to be better, etc.

If you opt to volunteer in Africa with us, you will be making a difference in the lives of women, especially mothers who are in dire need of support, who are doing everything possible each day to feed their children, provide shelter for them and sacrifice all their lives for them daily. Look through one of our volunteer work in Africa programs, opt to volunteer in Africa with us and help us improve the lives of very good sweet mothers who are just unlucky to face these harsh conditions of live.

Not only do we invite you to volunteer in Africa with us, but we also encourage you to share ideas with us in ways you think we can make a difference in the lives of these great mothers. So when you are preparing for your trip to volunteer in Africa with us, take a moment and write down some few suggestions to us, drop it at our office when you arrive. We will appreciate it and will put it into our programs.

And when you meet these struggling mums as you trek down the road between work place and host home whilst volunteering in Africa, and you have the opportunity to share a conversation, appreciate their efforts and inspire them to keep making a difference in the lives of their children. We love them because they are our mothers and our sisters and we hope that our volunteering in Africa programs will bring a change in their lives a step at a time. They are true heroes and we are privileged to be of service to them, we are proud we are able to do something in their lives including our volunteer work in Africa programs. Let us keep showing love to these great women and above all, let us not forget our own mothers and the women close to us who influence our lives positively.
