Volunteering in Ghana was an unforgettable and life changing experience for me. Even though many in Ghana live in poverty, Ghanaians are one of the friendliest and happiest people you will ever meet. They love to smile and laugh. They love music and dance. At the orphanage we helped the children with meals, school work, chores, and of course playtime. Knowing I made even a small difference in their lives was humbling and hugely rewarding. On our days off we had the opportunity to visit some amazing places. Ghana has a rich culture and the country side is breathtaking and diverse. I will always treasure the memories I have of my time in Ghana.
